although I do not know that much about photography (I know the basics) I do know something about color and composition. So that is where I will focus this critique on=]
so first of, I absolutely love the composition. The diagonal and vertical lines work together smoothly, I especially love the little ship on the right that keeps the composition in motion. having smooth lines in a photograph is something I admire as it is a live situation so you can't manipulate every single line like you can in a painting. So in short: Thumbs up for the composition
second of, the use of color. I really like it when a photographer menages to edit a photo without it being to obvious it was touched up. I love the warmth you created by enhancing the yellow and oranges. it really makes the model pop considering her warm skin tone and her blue outfit.
The only little thing about photography on itself I can critique on is that I love the subtle depth of field^^
These days it is very difficult to make an original artwork, be it a painting or a photograph as everything by now has been done already. To me because of that it is art on its own to keep people captured with your work even though it has been done before already. I think you succeeded on that and I absolutely love the picture.
